Nalua Immigration Consultancy Corp. is a Surrey, British Columbia–based immigration practice built on a simple belief: an immigration file deserves the same rigour a litigator brings to court. Every application we submit is prepared as if it will be scrutinized line by line — because it will be.

We advise individuals, families, and employers across the full spectrum of Canadian temporary and permanent residence pathways: Temporary Resident Visas and Super Visas, study permits and Post-Graduation Work Permits, LMIA-based and LMIA-exempt work permits, spousal sponsorship, Express Entry, and the BC Provincial Nominee Program. Our particular strength lies in the contested and complex: procedural fairness responses, refusal analysis, and Federal Court judicial review.

Our name

The firm is named after Hari Singh Nalwa, the legendary Sikh general whose discipline, foresight, and refusal to retreat defined an era. We chose the name deliberately. It reflects how we approach every file — thoroughly prepared, strategically positioned, and unwilling to leave a client’s future to chance.

Our founder

Nalua is led by Gurjot Singh Sidhu, RCIC-IRB (CICC #R713056), a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and authorized to represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC) and a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits in British Columbia.

Gurjot holds a Graduate Diploma in International Commercial Law from Queen’s University. Where a matter needs to go before the Federal Court of Canada, Nalua works with trusted licensed lawyers through its professional connections. That legal training informs how every application at Nalua is built from the first intake: documented, cited to official IRCC sources, and structured to withstand challenge.

How we work

  • Technically rigorous file preparation. Clear submissions, complete evidence, and arguments grounded in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (opens in a new tab), its Regulations (opens in a new tab), and current IRCC operational guidance.
  • Honest assessments. We tell you what your file’s strengths and weaknesses are before you commit — not after a refusal.
  • Hands-on representation. Your matter is handled directly by a licensed consultant, not passed down a chain.
  • Service in your language. We serve clients in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, and understand the communities we represent because we are part of them.

Why it matters

Unauthorized representatives cannot sign your forms, cannot appear on your behalf, and cannot be held accountable when things go wrong. Working with a licensed RCIC means your representative is regulated, insured, bound by a code of professional conduct, and answerable to the College. Verify any consultant’s status at the CICC public register (opens in a new tab) — including ours.
